Adding Animals to your Fairy Garden

Adding animals to your fairy garden is the fastest way to make it more interesting. Whether it’s domesticated pets like dogs and cats or wildlife such as birds, bunnies, and deer. After all, critters are everywhere! Just step outside your front door. How long before you see or hear a bit of nature rushing by? Bees buzzing, birds singing, a squirrel chattering its way up a tree. The neighbors kitty tiptoeing along the wall to the tune of your puppy’s barking. How dull life would be without animals to keep us company.

The same is true for your fairy garden. Placing animals in the scene guarantees a little lively interaction. Look at the sweet faced Bassett Hound lying on the chair. By gluing a bird to the armrest, we are setting the stage for a little future “action”. You can easily imagine several different stories. Maybe the bird is talking to him. Or perhaps our canine cutie will jump up and start giving chase to his feathered friend.
Whenever you add any creature to the mix, make sure they appear to be looking at something or someone else. There are eight animals in this fairy garden. Find them all and follow where they’re looking. All but one is visually connected to someone else in the garden. That makes for at least seven different “stories” within one garden!
